When a customer goes to your website, first impressions will count. The look and feel of your website can either draw in your customers interest straight away, or alternatively have them looking elsewhere.

I like to think that web design should be virtually transparent to the end user (ie. your customer). In other words they should just be able to go to your site and immediatley understand where the information they are looking for is located, and find it quickly.
